Memorandum of Understanding signed with EUROCONTROL

On Thursday June 21st 2018. BHDCA Acting Director General, Željko Travar, and Eamonn Brennan, Director General of the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), signed in Brussels a Memorandum of Understanding between the Member States of the Regional Search and Rescue Committee (SAR) and EUROCONTROL.

Namely, so far the ten following States have participated in the Regional Search and Rescue Committee: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

BHDCA acting Director General participates at aviation security Conference

The BHDCA's acting Director General Željko Travar is participating at the Regional Aviation Security Conference held in Lisbon on 29-31 May 2018. The Conference is organized by the European and North Atlantic (EUR/NAT) Office of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The Conference aims to promote challenges and strengthen regional and global aviation security systems.

The BHDCA delegation made by Acting Director General Željko Travar and Assistant Director General for International Relations, Harmonisation and Legal Affairs met in Paris with Director of the Regional Office of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for Europe and the North Atlantic Luis Fonseca de Almeida and introduced him to the development of aviation in BiH, activities and commitment of BHDCA to implement and apply ICAO International Standards and Recommended Practice (ICAO SARP's).

BHDCA acting Director General participates at ECAC meeting

The BHDCA's acting Director General Željko Travar is participating at the regular 150th session of Directors General of Civil Aviation of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) held in Paris on 14-15 May 2018.

According to the agenda, the meeting will discuss the submitted nominations and decide on the European candidate for the election of President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to be held in 2019.

In addition, the Directors General from ECAC Member States will also discuss a series of other key topics, documents and information related to improving civil aviation in Europe.
