In the period from 1 to 4 October 2019 experts of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) carried out a comprehensive standardisation inspection of the BHDCA in the field of air navigation.

The objective was to assess the level of compliance of the regulations and procedures adopted and implemented by the BHDCA against the relevant EU regulations in the field of air navigation.

In addition to visiting the BHDCA, the EASA experts visited the Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigations Services Agency (BHANSA), i.e. its Air Traffic Control Unit (ATCU II) in Banja Luka, as part of the standardisation inspection activities.

Standardisation inspections are planned activities of the EASA Inspection team that are carried out periodically in all European Union countries and in countries which have special agreements or working arrangements signed with the European Union.
