Decision adopted regarding additional conditions for the entry of aliens to Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina held its 4th extraordinary teleconference on 15 March 2020, which, at a proposal by the Ministry of Security of BIH, adopted a Decision laying down additional conditions for the entry of aliens to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Decision lays down additional conditions for the entry of aliens to Bosnia and Herzegovina, relating to an entry ban for aliens arriving from certain areas with an intensive coronavirus transmission, and aimed at suppressing and preventing the spread of infectious diseases, i.e. the coronavirus – COVID-19, and relating to possession of a specific type of travel document.

Foreign citizens arriving from the areas with then intensive coronavirus  transmission, especially from the People’s Republic of China Wuhan Province, from South Korea, Japan, Italy, Iran, France. Romania, FR Germany, Austria, Spain, Switzerland and Belgium.

A foreigner may enter Bosnia and Herzegovina exclusively holding a valid passport, while foreign citizens forbidden to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina territory will get an entry denial document issued by the Border Police of BIH, in accordance with the Law on foreigners.

The Council of Ministers of BIH requested he Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform foreign diplomatic offices on the decision implementation. The Decision takes force on the day of taking and is to be published in the “official Gazette of BIH”.
