A delegation led by Director General Čedomir Šušnjar has been participating in the work of the Steering Board and the working groups of the Regional Aeronautical Search and Rescue Advisory Committee (RASARAC) in Podgorica, Montenegro.
In addition to administrative matters, the meetings have discussed the Committee's work in the preceding period and plans for the next year. Meetings of the working groups were held within a plenary session that analysed activities such as exercises, workshops and meetings; a round table was held on developments in RASARAC Member States and the importance of civil-military coordination in the field of search and rescue.
An agreement on membership in RASARAC was also signed in Podgorica by Croatia, which until now was an observer, and an addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between RASARAC and the Joint Rescue Coordination Center Larnaca regarding the provision of support through training in Cyprus.
In 2022, RASARAC was chaired by Montenegro, while in 2023 the chair will be taken over by North Macedonia.
