Organized by the BHDCA, in cooperation with the ICAO Regional Office for Europe and the North Atlantic (ICAO EUR/NAT) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), a workshop titled "Workshop on Aerodrome Safety Management and Oversight" was held from September 2 to 5 at the BHDCA headquarters in Banja Luka.
The aim of the workshop was to enhance sub-regional cooperation and the exchange of experiences and best practices in the field of aerodrome and ground aids (AGA) safety oversight. Among other topics, the workshop addressed priority protocol areas from the ICAO Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) in the AGA domain, particularly those with the lowest levels of effective implementation. The workshop also provided support to participating States in reviewing and improving the implementation of their Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
In addition to representatives of the BHDCA, the workshop was attended by colleagues from the civil aviation authorities of Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Albania.
The workshop lecturers were Mr. Hatem Oueslati, ICAO Officer for Aerodromes and Ground Aids, and Mr. Giorgio Cascone from the EASA Aerodromes Department.
