The EASA standardization inspection to the BHDCA

On Monday 8th October 2012, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) expert teams made a standardization inspection or the assessment of the implementation of the European legislation in the area of airworthiness, air operation and flight crew licensing in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Greek ambassador visited BHDCA

“The Greek government and I personally are very interested in the revival of air transport between Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina and also in establishing an air route possibly between Sarajevo/Banja Luka and Athens/Thessaloniki”, said the Greek ambassador Mr. Carolos Gadis during his official visit to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) where he met with the BHDCA Director General Mr. Djordje Ratkovica.
Ambassador Gadis has emphasized the friendship between Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina and the great support Greece has given to Bosnia and Herzegovina in its path towards the European Union, and he believes that establishing an air route between these two countries would further improve and expedite their bilateral relations.
Suspended the Air Operator Certificate of the company „Sky Bosnia“

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation suspended the Air Operator Certificate – AOC of the company „Sky Bosnia“ on August 2 2012 for a period of three months.
The company „Sky Bosnia" shall, within 60 days, provide to the BHDCA, an analysis of the current state of the company in all segments, as well as a plan of a re-establishment of compliances with the BHDCA regulatory requirements.
The meeting of FAB CE Council was held in Banja Luka

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) hosted a meeting of the Functional Airspace Block Central Europe (FAB CE) Council on Tuesday, 27 March 2012. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Civil Aviation Authorities and Air Navigation Service Providers from all FAB CE Member States – Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The FAB CE Council, chaired by Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2012, was established as a joint body responsible for making decisions for the purposes of implementation, functioning and further development of this functional airspace block.
ECAA assessment visit

A delegation of the European Commission responsible for monitoring the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the implementation of the Multilateral Agreement on the establishment of a European Common Aviation Area (ECAA Agreement) paid a working visit to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation from 17 to 19 October 2011 in order to assess the progress in implementing the Agreement.
