ECAC Delegation visiting the BHDCA

The Director General of the BHDCA met today in Banja Luka with the high delegation of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) consisting of Mr. Catalin Radu, President of the ECAC and Mr. Salvatore Sciacchitano, Executive Secretary.
Mr. Djordje Ratkovica, General Director of the BHDCA, took this opportunity to present to his guests from ECAC the current situation in the civil aviation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in particular with regards to the areas of Safety and Security, as well as the status of the implementation of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Traffic Management (BHATM) Project.
Director General of EUROCONTROL visited BHDCA

On Thursday 31st January 2013, Director General of the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation - EUROCONTROL, Mr. Frank Brenner met with the BH DCA Director General Mr. Djordje Ratkovica, they talked about the activities EUROCONTROL will conduct in the upcoming period and finalization of the BH Air Traffic Management (BH ATM)
implemented by the BH DCA.
Twinning Project Closing Meeting

On the occasion of the finalising of the Twinning project entitled "Assistance in Institutional Building of the BH Civil Aviation Authority related to European Common Aviation Area (ECAA)", which is funded by the European Commission, and realized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Spain, the closing meeting was held in the premises of the Directorate of Civil Aviation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH DCA) in order to be presented the results of this two-year project.
Revoked the Air Operator Certifiicate of the operator "Sky Bosnia"

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) revoked the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) of the air operator “Sky Bosnia” from Tuzla on 5 December 2012 following the air operator’s failure to rectify the inconsistencies and non-compliance with the prescribed requirements, to submit to the BHDCA an analysis of the current situation in the company for all relevant segments, and to submit a corrective action plan to restore compliance with the BHDCA’s regulatory requirements, which were the conditions for cancelling the suspension of the AOC of 2 August 2012.
6th meeting of the FAB CE Council

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) hosted the 6th meeting of the Functional Airspace Block Central Europe (FAB CE) Council on Thursday, 18 October 2012.
The FAB CE Council, chaired by Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2012, was established as a joint decision-making body for the purposes of implementation, functioning and further development of this Functional block.
The meeting focused primarily on analysing the activities carried out so far in establishing the FAB CE, which is to be established by 4 December 2012 at the latest (pursuant to EU Regulation 550/2004 which has been transposed by BIH into the Regulation on the provision of air navigation services in the Single European Sky).
